Week 5 Classes - A bad CASE of the Punches

Sometimes we all need a little inspiration and this week I drew on the creativeness of two very creative ladies and did a little bit of CASEing.  It was definately the week of Punches as I had 12 punches on the table to create both the cards.
Our first card was something that the very clever Kerry created for the Stitches & Craft show last year and  I said then that I would have to CASE it one day.  Well 9 months later here it is.  This was a huge hit and was a lot of fun to make.

The colours are Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, YoYo Yellow, Brilliant Blue, Whisper White, Basic Black and Close to Cocoa.  There are too many punches to mention individually but I am sure you can work them out.  The words are from Party Hearty and was the only stamping involved in this card, shock horror!  Thanks for the inspiration Kerry, this was an awesome card!

Who would have thought that a Butterfly punch could be turned into a Pansy!!  If you are like me when I look at a Butterfly punch, I see butterflies.  Thanks to being inspired by Gretchen I have been having a ball making dozens of pansies in different colours for the past few days.
The card base was Lovely Lilac layered with Whisper White.  I used the very versatile Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder for the white background and this lifted the whole look.  The leaves are from Old Olive and punched using the "wing" from the Two Step Bird Punch.  The flowers are done with reinkers, Summer Sun, Lovely Lilac and Elegant Eggplant.  The words are from Friends 24-7.

Over the next few weeks we will be using punches to create different flowers and putting a little bit of Spring into this new cold weather we are having.

Gorgeous pansies Sue! Your colouring is terrific; hope there might be some of those on Saturday ... ! Your Sesame St card looks great, aren't they fun? Glad you finally got the chance to try it. :)
